We started Gatehouse after our careers in the wholesale home furnishings trade couldn’t sustain my desire to own my own store. With Bill’s knowledge of the outdoor industry and mine of the indoor home and gift industry the concept of an indoor and outdoor boutique was born. Following a trip to Paris we came back completely inspired to create a sophisticated casual living store where indoor and outdoor spaces were reflective of one another, (or as we say meet). Outdoor fabrics, organic palettes, and natural wicker inspired everything about our look. I believe quality is key, style is important but should be functional, all the while still coming home to fresh and hip, traditional and warm, cozy and coastal or whatever it is that makes your home – home.
